How to get to Red.es/RedIRIS

The main entrance to Edificio Bronce may be accessed either from C/ Orense or from Paseo de la Castellana via AZCA. The building is right beside one of the entrances to El Corte Inglés and it is five minutes from Nuevos Ministerios metro station (lines 6, 8 and 10) (http://www.metromadrid.es/redmetro/visor/plano.asp") and the bus-stops for buses 5, 14, 27, 40, 126, 147, 149, 150 and the Circular route (http://www.emtmadrid.es).

The airport is approximately 15/20 km away and Nuevos Ministerios is the metro station nearest Red.es/RedIRIS.

You can reach the airport on the metro, line 8, which costs the normal ticket price plus a supplement of €1, which is paid when you get off at the corresponding terminal. The trip takes about 25 minutes. The journey by taxi from the airport costs approximately €30.

HOW TO REACH Red.es/RedIRIS SITE

The main entrance to Edificio Bronce (Bronze Building) is either from Calle Raimundo Fernández Villaverde / Calle Orense, or from Pl de la Castellana through AZCA. Edificio Bronce is right besides one of the entrances of the well-known "El Corte Inglés" Department Store.

The Edificio Bronce is less than 5 minutes walk from the Nuevos Ministerios Railway and Metro Station (Metro lines 6, 8 and 10) (http://www.metromadrid.es/redmetro/visor/plano.asp). The bus stops closest to the site are from lines numbers 5, 14, 27, 40, 126, 147, 149, 150 and Circular (http://www.emtmadrid.es).

TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT

There are about 15/20 Kms. from Barajas Airport to the centre of Madrid. The closest Metro Station to Red.es/RedIRIS site is Nuevos Ministerios.

The airport is reachable through metro line number 8, which leaves from Nuevos Ministerios each 3/5 minutes during business hours. Standard metro and bus tickets are valid for the journey, but you have to pay a 1 € supplement when leaving the metro at one of the airport stations. There are two metro stations, one for terminals 1, 2 and 3, and another for terminal 4. The trip from Nuevos Ministerios takes approximately 25 minutes.

TAXIS from the airport to the center of Madrid cost around 25-30 Euro. There is almost never a problem getting a taxi from the indicated ranks, and we would advise against accepting offers from taxi drivers inside the airport building.

CAR RENTAL: Most major car rental agencies are represented at the airport, and there is plenty of space in the car parks.
