| NA Activities | |
| :: DNA1.1: Project presentation This deliverable is a public description of the FEDERICA project in terms of main goals, key issues technical approach and achievements. It is intended for publication on the Websites of the Commission and the project. |
download |
| :: DNA2.1: Early FEDERICA User Requirements NA2 'Building and Consolidating the User Community' is one of the key activities within the FEDERICA project. The aim is identify potential users of the FEDERICA infrastructure, understand their needs and requirements, and feed these back into the development process. This document therefore outlines the methods that will be used to identify, contact, and consult with users, and how their requirements will be fed back into the project. It also lists the findings of the preliminary consultation with some users who have already been contacted. Finally, it proposes a structure for handling requests to use the FEDERICA infrastructure once it is rolled-out and initial testing is completed. |
download |
| :: DNA2.2: FEDERICA User Community and Requirements NA2 ”Building and consolidating the User Community” is focused on establishing a strong relationship with users and between the users to the scope of gathering requirements, and facilitating the flow of information and ideas between users, in particular when the users are in different research communities. The deliverable DNA2.2 is a revised and expanded version of DNA2.1, based on the initial feedback loop from users involved in the project. The document also contains a preliminary segmentation of the user community. |
download |
| :: DNA3.1: Status and plans of liaison activities NA3 'Standardization and Liaisons’ of FEDERICA focuses on establishing links with projects and standardization forums in the area of Future Internet Infrastructures and virtualized environments for network research. The aim is to ensure exchange of experiences, practices and results with projects working on the same problem areas while at the same time follow and eventually contribute (wherever possible) to standards. This document outlines the activities and plans of the project in this area during its first 6 months and describes the intended approaches to collaborations and liaison for the next project period. |

| :: DJRA2.1: Architectures for virtual infrastructures, new Internet paradigms and business models JRA2 'Architectures for virtual infrastructures, new Internet paradigms and business models' is a preliminary, high-level architectural investigation within the FEDERICA project. The deliverable DJRA2.1 contains a summary of the effort done in the first 8 months by the tasks TJRA2.1 and TJRA2.2 on the architectures of virtual infrastructures, the state-of-the art of experiment on new Internet paradigms and business models. |

| :: DNA3.2: Update on status and plans of liaison activities This deliverable reports on how links have been established with projects and standardization fora in the area of Future Internet infrastructures and virtualized environments for network research. The previous deliverable DNA3.1 outlined the activities and plans during the first six months of the project describing the intended collaboration and liaison approaches. This deliverable provides an update to the status of the liaison activities and also describes further plans in this area for the remaining duration of the project. |

| :: DJRA2.2: Prototype for interoperability between
IPsphere and MANTICORE This deliverable, DJRA2.2, is a software prototype. This document contains a summary of the efforts taken between the 3rd and 15th months of the FEDERICA project by the partners of the task TJRA2.3. The main objective of this activity is to establish a technical collaboration framework between FEDERICA and IPsphere in order to develop a prototype for integrating the MANTICORE software (based on the IaaS Framework, which is a descendant of the UCLPv2 project) in the IPsphere model. This prototyping work, its objectives, and its evaluation are described in this deliverable. |
download |
| :: DJRA2.3: Virtual network architectures This deliverable DJRA2.3 ‘Virtual network architectures’ provides an update to the preliminary investigations of DJRA2.1 concerning the FEDERICA architectural principles, including the federated authentication, authorization and security aspects, the novel architectural paradigms foreseen by FEDERICA, as well as the fairness concepts related to the proposed business model for virtualised infrastructures in general. The deliverable also contains the validation of architectural principles in various experiments (e.g. software routing and flow-based virtualisation) towards defining and prototyping novel paradigms. |
